Are you worthy?

Today many Christians consider themselves to be righteous before God and because and they convinced themselves that they were doing many good works and went every Sunday to church and that would suffice to be found worthy before God. But does it mean to be found worthy before God? Just read the story hereunder and you will discover what is lacking.
When you buy some bulk fruit or vegetables in a supermarket, the same gesture remained unchanged during many centuries. In order to know the price, the fruit is put on a weighing scale.
In Daniel 5:25-27 Belshazzar asked Daniel to give the interpretation of the words written by the hand (of God) on the wall. Verse 27 reads “ TEKEL” Thou art weighed in the balances, and found wanting”
Because In verse 22 it mentions that Belshazzar did not humbled his heart, with other words, knowing that he didn’t humble himself before God and therefore was judged “ not worthy”.
The word “worthy” is used 54 times in the New Testament, used first in Matthew 3:11 by John the Baptist saying” whose shoes I am not worthy to...”
The word “worthy” can be related to a scale : weighing if we have enough value to receive the promised Kingdom. With ourselves and Jesus on one side of the scale we “weigh” enough to bring the scale into balance (or maybe more?) Without Jesus on our side of the scale, we are just some filthy rags!
Christ speaks of those worthy to obtain the next world and the resurrection of the dead (Luke 20:35) Christ talks about those counted worthy to escape the future Tribulation and stand before Him (21:36)
The Apostles rejoice when they are deemed worthy to suffer for Christ’s name (Acts:5:41). Paul speaks of walking worthy of the Lord and his calling (Eph.4:1 – Coll.1:10)
And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God Took him (Genesis 5:24)
Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations and Noah walked with God (Genesis 6:9)
Our being worthy is to receive redemption and spiritual blessings is linked only to the finished work of Christ. But believe that you can do it on your own is a sin of self-righteousness.
Walking with God is perfection, only then as you are aligned with His will. We need to humble ourselves before Jesus who sent us the Holy Spirit. He is a person telling us how to correct our walk with God and obey his voice. God doesn’t speak to us when there is too much noise in our brain. Just go to your room and close the door behind you and keep silence, welcome the Holy Spirit and be patient, this is NOT the time to start asking things, the Holy Spirit is not a shopping mall, thank Him for all the blessing you have received already. What you need is known already before you will ask, so don’t spoil this precious spiritual moment with earthly carnal matters. Listen to God and not to algorithm.
